GOLD STAR MOTHERS TEA
It was a day to honor our American Gold Star Mothers in Southwest Florida.
On Saturday, October 17, 2015 our Southwest Florida Blue Star Mother Chapter hosted an annual tea for AGSM's that was held in Sarasota at Marina Jack Sarasota Bayfront.
All of our Gold Star Mothers had a wonderful time of friendship and tea during our luncheon.
Each year we celebrate our AGSM's healing journey. We support them. We love them. We stand by them and honor their Fallen Heroes. They are forever in our hearts and prayers.
At this years luncheon we presented two Gold Star Mothers with their American Gold Star Flags to honor their son's and their sacrifice for our country.
Guest Speaker, Ted Smith, Sarasota County Veterans Commission President helped us honor the Gold Star Mothers of our Fallen Heroes with an inspirational message of hope and his plans that will pave the way to help our local Veterans.
Smith served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and is now helping Veterans in Sarasota County as
his continued call to serve.

The Annual Gold Star Mothers Tea would not have taken place without the support of the caring hearts of our sponsors. Our Blue Star Mothers would like to extend our gratitude to Deborah Coonts, Jerry Ford, Lou and Sue Santoni, Ken and Susan Vickery and Frank Walsh.
A special thanks goes out to Blue Star Mother Valisa Ward for coordinating the annual tea. The corsages, and
handcrafted decorated martini glasses for the Gold Star Mother's were beautifully
done. We appreciate all the volunteers that came together for the Gold Star Mothers.
